Every week in the Cherry Crafters’ Facebook group, a new sketch is posted to boost your inspiration to create and last week’s sketch was a stunner! I knew I had just the photos for this one. The Pagemaps sketch only called for one photo, but in typical Laura-style, I just had to change it up and get FIVE on the layout instead!
I used two 3×4 photos and three 2×2 photos for this sketch showcasing my daughter’s preschool artwork and of course, a sweet photo of the artist herself! Using Amy Tangerine’s Picnic in the Park collection to capture the bright, happy colors from all of the craft projects in the photos, I stuck pretty close to the sketch in design.
In the top right cluster, I used an EK Success Notebook punch for the top border, then tucked in a journaling spot and a few pieces from the ephemera pack and 6×12 sticker sheet. I absolutely adore the tiny camera amidst the florals here!
Underneath the photo grid, I added a short title to acknowledge what year in school she was in and the date on a small cluster at the bottom left. Because there were so many photos and so many bright colors I kept the embellishing pretty simple! My favorite pieces in this collection were the tiny puffy stickers, which I added all over the layout to give it that extra pop of interest!
I hope this sweet layout inspires you to take a new look at sketches and see how you can change them up to fit your photos! To see this layout come together, check out the process video below!
Thanks for stopping by!
