Nuvo Embellishment Mousse Tutorial

If you’re looking for an easy way to dip your toe in the mixed media world, this is a great place to start! Nuvo Embellishment Mousse works as a texture paste, watercolor, mist/spray, glaze, and more. Today, I’m using it to make mixed media backgrounds for birthday cards. I’m using the Powder Blue, Aquamarine, and Peony Pink Embellishment mousse as well as the Nuvo Spatulas on this project.

For the first background, I rubbed the Powder Blue Mousse on the background in a circular pattern and then splattered with the Aquamarine Mousse that I had mixed with water.  Just scoop a small amount of mousse out onto a palette and add a little water to create instant watercolor!

For the second background, I used the spatula to spread the Peony Pink Mousse through a star stencil (by Paige Taylor Evans) and then splattered with the mousse mixed with water just like I did in the first background. This is super easy to do, but make sure you tape down your stencil to keep it from moving around while you’re spreading the mousse.

To finish these cards off, I pulled out the gorgeous Kaisercraft Oh Happy Day collection to embellish both of them and create birthday cards! I did splatter a bit of gold ink and Nuvo Drops around the cards as well, just for a bit of detailing. Super quick and easy! I hope you found this tutorial helpful and will give this awesome Embellishment Mousse a try!
